Got this to connect my Sony Bravia KDL TV to Macbook Pro (not Air). And so it happened, no problem. An independent problem, not related to the cable itself: once connected, it took a bit of fiddling with the TV settings to get it working properly. I had to enable the HDMI 2 input and then play around with the settings. So you know it's not the cable's fault if the computer screen goes blue for a split second and then goes back to normal when you plug it in. Just a note. It's not an instant connection without some fiddling to get the configuration right - you'll have to drag whatever you want from a screen on your computer out of the screen to see the screen on your TV.
