I think you have a used product
The active center is strong and easy to assemble. My only issue is that I paid full price for a used product because it was damaged (clear signs of wear) or maybe just poor quality control at the factory. I did not return it as I needed the product urgently but had I been in a different situation I would definitely have asked for a full refund.
