Review on Smart socket Xiaomi ZNCZ05CM Mi by Michal Machnicki ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The quality is fine, it's fine to use.

When you connect an outlet to a 2.4 GHz Wi-fi network, Beeline home Internet provider, SmartBox One router (L2TP (vpn) connection protocol), network problems begin: all devices that were connected to 2.4 wi-fi begin to periodically drop out of the network (switching to the mobile Internet) and do not want to automatically return to it again (until you connect manually, although auto-registration is set on the network). In parallel with the 2.4GHz network, a 5GHz network is distributed from the same router and there are no problems there. When you unplug the wi-fi, the problem disappears! So far I have not found information from what such troubles can arise . there are suggestions that the device somehow has a bad attitude towards vpn, on which the Beeline Internet works and begins to "fill up" the wireless network.

Pros
  • Quality of materials, design, declared functionality
Cons
  • Didn't really live up to expectations 1. In fact, the socket can only be turned on / off by a command from the cloud server, respectively, the scheduled functionality and the shutdown timer are implemented in the cloud (at the specified time, the on / off command just comes from the server). Therefore, in case of any problems on the network (Chinese servers, intermediate servers, wi-fi), the command simply will not be received and the device will not work. Quite dubious reliability for use with "serious" equipment. 2. due to the problems that have arisen (in the comments), it is not possible to use. If it is possible to solve the problem, then it is tolerable except for paragraph 1.
