While the items are easily accessible, the compartments keep their shape and items slide very well, very organized. The zippers open and close smoothly without binding. The lining is of good quality. And the skin is thick and soft, strong but supple, like good quality leather. I received the wine color and it is really beautiful and matches the photos. The hardware is bold, in an attractive hematite gray, and doesn't feel cheap. The quality was worth the price. In order to carry the bag comfortably over the shoulder, it is still a bit too long for me, which I prefer. I'm 5ft 5in and the top of the bag sits low on my hips which isn't the ideal height to look inside. (The good news for some is that it should be long enough to be worn over the shoulder.) I'm sure it will be easy enough to punch another buckle hole to shorten it, but for now I'll leave it it to see if I can get used to it. The strap is folded down the middle and carried by the handles, which is 100% not my previous habit. but something about it seems right. I expect it to last me years.
