We bought a new house this summer and the bulbs were a mix of halogen, fluorescent and a couple of PAR30LN LEDs. Some died in the kitchen and I never liked the yellow/white/whatever combo so I bought some boxes to give the whole floor the same brightness and also left some for other parts of the house. They're a lovely pure white (choose 5000K, which may be "too bright" for some people's tastes, but my wife and I like the level of "daylight" in most rooms). Can't comment on durability yet (lasts 60+ minutes) but overall I've been very happy with these bulbs at around $5 a bulb. Fun Fact: Are these long necks or at least will they fit the PAR30LN bulbs I replaced without looking out of place? I've seen a few reviews that people weren't sure about, but mine are LN. A small minus: the middle is concave. I have no problem with them other than the fact that I wanted to use my suction cup changer on them. It vacuumed well when stationary, but I kept losing my footing trying to install it and just used a stool for extra reach. This isn't a problem in my kitchen, but not an option when I'm in an attic with a 12" ceiling. This is not a product defect but a limitation of my setup.
