Haven't washed them yet but I can tell from the packaging they're not as good as the ones you could buy in these back in the day days. I have been using tissues for many decades, since I was a young man. Back then, you could buy fairly thick, cotton-filled handkerchiefs for everyday use that could absorb a lot of moisture (which was great if you had a runny nose or were sweating a lot). Basically, the old ones were made of cotton, similar to those used for headscarves at the time. Time will tell how they hold up after washing. I will say they are thicker than the ones I bought at Walmart recently. But they are not comparable to the old ones.
