Review on 🔒 Enhanced Safety Foldable Grab/Step: Buyers Products B2797BPC in Sleek Black E-Coat Finish by Zach Peterson

As in According to several reviews, the finish is very rough and sometimes flaky. Lightly shot peening the parts prior to coating would result in a more pleasing product appearance. Overall, the movement seems very reliable. However, my main problem with this step is that when unfolded, the step is not at a 90 degree angle, but at a 75 degree angle. I ordered two and they are both the same. The stainless steel version has a notch under the step which apparently allows it to be placed at a 90 degree angle. Since they don't have that notch (and look the same aside from materials and polish), I'm guessing that cost-cutting bypassed that step (no pun intended). I wanted black instead of galvanized or stainless, so I'll probably end up with those. I will most likely be breaking my grinder to shave off some of the material and then sandblasting and epoxy paint.
