Review on ๐Ÿช‘ Cushion Lab Extra Dense Lumbar Pillow: The Ultimate Solution for Lower Back Pain Relief by Kari Reynolds

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Manufactured as advertised but too thick for my seat

This cushion is of high quality and very well made. I particularly like the firmness that gives my back a great feeling. But after a few days, I realized that this pillow was causing a different problem. Because it's so thick, it pushes me forward in my chair and therefore doesn't line up with the center of the molded "seat pan" in my chair. The ergonomics in my company tell me that there should be a distance of about 3 fingers wide between the hollows of the knees and the front edge of the chair. But adding this cushion to my chair increases that distance significantly. After a few hours, my back feels good, but my butt hurts because I'm not "in position" for my chair. And I have a similar experience in my car (which also has a very sculpted seat pan). If you have large chairs, or simple chairs that don't already have a lot of ergonomics, or ones that allow you to extend the front seat further than usual, this cushion will likely work well. But for me it was a failure. To be fair, I now realize that a lumbar pillow with the molded design of a high-ergo chair, which is designed to keep you in a perfect position, is unlikely to work. It definitely doesn't work with my Herman Miller. Now I understand that my best solution is to rely on the ergonomics built into my chair and not add anything of the sort.
