The colors are very pigmented and bright. This is more noticeable on light/blonde hair than on dark hair. I have dark brown hair and the colors add a nice touch to my hair, but again it's not as obvious as it is with blonde hair. The strips do not dry out the hair which is my favorite thing about this product. The brush looks like a mascara brush and I don't like it. I was trying to highlight my curly hair and the brush changed the shape of the curls. So I found it easier to apply colors by hand, although messier. When the dye is applied to the hair, it stays there for a long time. If you touch your hair, you may find a small deposit on your arm, but not much.
