I have a large one for an 80 lb greyhound. It doesn't cool down much, but I think it can be slightly improved. I first made my own ice packs out of phase change material and vacuum sealers. The included ice packs are just water. The PCM packs I've made last much longer, maintain a consistent temperature better, and are more like a gel for more coverage. Coverage is the next topic. Part of the torso should cover most of the dog, not only for more ice packs, but also as a sun reflector, which on its own provides good cooling. The strap that connects the collar to the body is too short for my greyhound and probably other deep chested breeds. At €40 I find it too expensive for what it is.
