The first thing to consider if you plan to use this pillow in the car is the presence or absence of Your seating option will be downgraded. My truck won't raise or lower the driver's seat, and no matter what I do, the cushion makes me sit too high. I tried for almost a week hoping I would get used to it but I just couldn't. If your seat is up/down you will like this pillow more than me. Otherwise it's a comfortable pillow. It wasn't actually colder, but it was more comfortable and supportive than a regular car seat. My back also felt better while using it. I keep it. At the moment I'm sitting on a computer chair at home and will look for a better option for the car
