I ordered this brace in desperation to reduce swelling, pain and nerve pain. I had a traumatic fracture of 3 bones in the lower leg and ankle and a dislocation. I have 2 metal plates and therefore many seams. The pain doctor said I'm doing the best I can medically do right now. This big break caused daily swelling, joint pain and pain from nerve injuries for 3 years. I'm always desperate for something new to help and I found it in this product. Numerous bracket comparisons showed that I would have to decide on a size, but this Marakym bracket fits everyone, so I took the plunge and ordered it. It suits my swollen ankle and gives me a lot more time to stand and walk each day. I feel more confident when walking to protect my ankle from further injury. The different compression zones are great for reducing swelling right where it's needed, which in turn helps relieve my constant nerve pain in the sole of my foot. It works for me after a serious injury, but it seems like a good idea to also wear it when playing sports or other outdoor activities to prevent injury. I am very happy with the design of this brace and would recommend it for any ankle problem for relief or prevention. The price of this item is also very affordable for the efficiency it offers!
