Branded lymphedema stockings had a top band that was too tight and digging into the swollen lymphatic tissue causing severe pain. This brand has thinner compression at the top to fit my hips while still maintaining great compression for the calves. My measurements are skewed because I've been squeezing my calves for 20 years without realizing my hamstrings have gotten worse. The downside: They're unusually short, so petite people will love them! As a taller woman, I had to buy neoprene loincloths from the athletic department to make up the difference. I alternate them with compression pants and have finally made some progress in fighting lymphatic swelling in my thighs. These jerseys are much stronger and more tear resistant than my previous brand. They're not that pretty, but I cover them all the time so no one can see them. If I had to dress up, I would switch to a different brand. Definitely a great price for wear and frequent replacement of lymphedema wear.
