Nice weight and perfect size for me. I don't make jewelry, so I can't comment on that. The packaging was nice too. I'm under the impression you have 30 little pins, but there are 26, so I'm guessing you mean all the pins. Just to see how it works I made a copy of the pattern, as you can see I drew my design. As a beginner, however, I obviously didn't know how to handle paper!🤣. I made tiny wings, my first try. The instructions are fairly general and do not recommend wire gauges. The pins were held well in rubber holders (33) using 0.5 mm diameter wire. The mount stayed in place with small rubber feet, one of which was weak on arrival but has since returned easily with no issues. I turned it over to remove the small "holders". I think next time I'll try to follow my pattern by looking at what's probably the way it should be done. In general, I found it easy to just try.
