Beautiful soft and delicate scarf, especially for this price. Knitwear is interesting in that it only stretches in one direction, the long side (to help you lift it over your head, for example), and certainly doesn't need to stretch in the other direction. It's a bit of a sheer fabric, but when you fold it up as you wear it, it's not noticeable. What is more noticeable is that it is a light, somewhat elegant fabric with a slight, pleasant sheen. (The back is matte if it's your jam.) It's too short for me to comfortably wrap it around my neck three times. I can, but it puts more pressure on my neck than I would like. But I have a big head and neck, so that doesn't necessarily apply to you. Definitely not a winter scarf, although it does transfer some heat, partly because there's a lot of fabric there. Hand wash in cold water, dry flat, simply iron. Made in China.
