Review on Thule Aspect DSLR Backpack Black by Ioulia Cats

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Very comfortable city bag for hiking

First of all I would like to say that this is a replacement for my Kata 3N1-20 bag which has served me well for quite some time. The reason it had to be replaced was because it didn't have a dedicated laptop compartment and I wanted to try something outside of the Kata bag range. What I like: 1) It obviously has room for a laptop and a tablet. My 15" MacBook Pro and 12" iPad Pro fit perfectly (the iPad has a separate sleeve in the laptop compartment). 2) It has two main compartments: a) the camera compartment, accessible from the side of the bag, which holds a 70 -200 F2.8 lens (without lens protector) and space for multiple lenses and system components on either side of the main camera compartment; b) a general compartment, accessible from the top of the bag, with space for a large Thule cable organizer and a range of various small items needed for daily work (Dji Mavic carry-on fits in the top compartment) 3) The camera compartment can be completely removed, this is a normal everyday backpack. 4) It has a waist belt to put the weight directly on your hips when you are carrying a lot of gear and it can be removed. 5) It has large blue zipper loops, easy to see and use in the dark. even with thick gloves in winter. What I don't like: 1) Optional raincover 2) No pass-through handle 3) Material looks a little flimsy 4) Zippers look a little flimsy Great bag so far, durability will stand the test of time.
