I used this to organize all the garden tools in my shed. Unfortunately I had to mount the 2 x 4 to the wall and then mount the bracket on top of it because only two of the three screw holes lined up with my studs. It would be much better if there were a row of holes or horizontal slots instead of three round holes - that would make the installation much more flexible. Although it appears to be a very strong and durable item. PS Also, I had to swap out the bolts for ones that thread all the way in to the head of the bolt, otherwise almost the entire threaded portion would come out through the back of my 2x4.
