Good gauge metal. It is engraved cleanly. I had an issue where it looked like it had some kind of smudges on it that wouldn't go away as shown in the picture, but alcohol and a cloth helped to remove it easily without affecting the ink. It was in a plastic bag that had a plastic case that had a plastic plug that covered the entire card.
