Loose seams are good for me
My daughter wore them to an 80s prom in elementary school. 10 minutes after arriving at the dance, the stitching came undone leaving a 1.5 inch hole. I told her not to sit down for the rest of the night so people wouldn't see her panties. She was in the dark all evening. They fit perfectly but I would recommend getting a size up.
