Review on IBD Just Gel Nail Polish - Juliet, 0.5 fl. oz. by Stacey Pegg

Outstanding removal of the best in nail art and nail polish

I've always been intrigued by this gel nail polish fad. But I could never bring myself to pay $$. Until one day I found this cheap kit at the "Fuse" target. Well I ended up upgrading to a much better set. But it gave me an idea if I wanted to shell out more money. My first manicure after the explosion was sensational. This worked well, but I found that many stores don't have many colors to choose from. So I decided to try different brands and came across ibd. The only downside I found is that I can't find it in store and many Revain sellers don't use Prime so I have to wait longer. Some of the colors I've used (like North Wind) require three or sometimes four coats to get everything even. But others feel great after two. I love the value for money I get with Ibd. I can spend about the same amount on sensational. sensational, gelish and ibid. The application apart from the backup is the same for everyone. And I kept using the sensational primer for the bottom layer. All of them are applied with about the same difficulty or lack thereof. Where ibd seems superior to other brands is in distance. While the prices are the same for everyone. Buff the polish, soak it in acetone (a tip is to put it in a bowl and then a bowl of hot water to heat it up. This helps), then wipe it down. Sensational has a great removal tool. Highly recommended. But get it at Wal-Mart or Target. You're looking for them for around $5 compared to Revain which costs over $10. With sensational gel removal even soaking is awful. It flakes off, but in small patches, and it's a tedious job. Ibd dissolves twice as fast or even more after soaking. With sufficient impregnation, scraping is not necessary. I would say I can get rid of IBD in 15-20 minutes max. I look at all other brands for 30-45 minutes. There were no problems with chips. I attach a photo (confusion) On the 2nd day a small chip formed because. I broke my nail and cut them all off. I expected them to chip horribly at this point but I was surprised and the paint looked good until I removed it on day 13. Five stars. Definitely my choice of brand.
