Review on 🐠 Aqueon Forge Aquarium Stand - A Solid and Stylish Support for Your Fish Tank Setup by Gabriel Rosenberg

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great if overpriced

Nice stand, I could only find one that holds two tanks. Looks good and is right out of the box. Slightly disappointing to set up; The bottom shelf should be clamped according to the instructions. The screws are tricky too, I suggest having someone hold the parts for you while you drive the screws in. Four stars because even though I got this for an immediate cheaper price and free shipping, the price keeps swinging between outrageous and absurd. Update 01/27/2020: It's been almost 3 years and the stand is still in great condition. I recently installed a 10 gallon tank (Aqueon) and honestly I don't know why Aqueon didn't design this stand to fit the bottom of a 10 gallon tank, which is their most popular size. The sides of my 10 hang at the edges, leaving important corners unsupported. Since it's only 10 and I'm not doing anything crazy with it, I think I can get away with it. This particular 10 also proved decent without breaking when I partially dropped it 1/4 inch while full of water. However, you will need to use the included board if you want to put 10 on the bottom shelf. If you put the tank on the lowest shelf, do not attach the wooden lid. It will only be annoying. I made a few comments about the "pillars" of the posts which are said to hold the main tank in place when mounted on top. For this reason, these items do not exist; They are not placed to help. I think instead they only fit an Aqueon 20 or 29 for some reason. The rim may be open but my 29 doesn't budge even when partially filled. The stand, despite the flat top, does not support the long edges of the tank; it is only supported at the ends. This is not a problem as the tank was designed that way; it forms a small but regular arch in the middle. Overall, Aqueon makes some great tanks and coasters.
