Review on 🌰 Medium Brown Cover Your Gray Fill in Powder - One Size by Katie Gibson

(This review ONLY deals with scalp coloring to cover thinning areas NOT to cover gray hair. I have never used a bulking powder to cover gray hair and have no idea how it would work .) This is the only powder product I have ever used other than the product that comes in a shaker bottle is a great product but the shaker is not accurate enough when used close to the face. I've learned from my experience with this product that these bulking powders work best if you choose a shade that is one shade darker than your hair color. My natural hair color is light ash brown, I use the medium brown in the shaker so I bought the medium brown in this product. This medium brown is lighter and not dark enough in my experience to give good coverage without applying more than needed (causing fading issues). Next time I'll go with a dark brown and I'm sure it will work as I expect. As I got older I also realized that daily shampooing is a sure way of damaging my very fine hair, so I try to limit this to twice a week and add dry shampoo when needed. The shaker I use stays in place from shampoo to shampoo, this one isn't that good unless I coat it with good hairspray. Not a big deal, but something to consider when applying. I'm annoyed by the unsuitable case. After a few uses, loose powder builds up on the pressed powder and this creates a mess in the sink that needs to be cleaned with each use. I don't want to blow off that loose powder because it's a waste of time, I use that loose powder on top. I ended up putting everything in a small jewelry box to contain the clutter that takes up more room in an already crowded makeup drawer, and it's just an annoying hassle that shouldn't be necessary. Need a deeper case. Finally, the brush that comes with it is HOPELESS and falls out the first time you use it. He will be bald before the product is gone. If you choose a quality product, don't combine it with a rough brush that will spill all the product! DISGUSTING! Overall I'm happy with the product (aside from the failure to get the color right) but I'm giving it one star because it doesn't stay in place and the shaker I use for a case that doesn't have a loose powder contains what is inevitable , and for a hopeless brush that I will replace when I first get to the store and that comes to mind.
