So first of all I want to say that I didn't get this for free. After purchase I found a lot of the reviews were the same I will be completely honest I got this to replace my Remington straightener which was $25 at Walmart I have way more of this Hot Tools Expecting straighteners when I've always liked them, so here's my list of pros and cons. Pros - Love the look - it heats up so quickly - The swivel cord is a really nice touch. Cons - Plates don't touch because I have to walk over the same piece multiple times - Feels like it's falling apart, top slides back and forth. I'd say it's worth buying, just not at this price
