I was pleasantly surprised. I wore vintage waffle knickers with silk base layers. They are very soft and comfortable, especially for the price. Kind of a tight compression fit as advertised. The top is very long so it can be tucked in to avoid drafts and the bottom actually stays up unlike my much more expensive UA which wants to slide under my ass like some kind of prison robe. Sagging in thermal underwear, if they exist at all, is stupid. They have worked so well in sub-zero temperatures that I have ordered 4 more pairs to have a clean pair every working day!
