While I was very happy to use this product on my hardwood laminate floors, my admiration turned to disgust shortly after using it. It seems to clean the floor well, but to my surprise I found that it leaves a film on the floor that could eventually be removed either in stockings or barefoot. The bottom of my socks eventually started to blacken. After cleaning with this product, the soles of my bare feet also got dirty. This dirty film landed on my new carpet as I walked from the laminate floor to my bedroom. I naturally thought it couldn't be a cleaner, so I did some experiments. I washed the floors thoroughly with a water and vinegar mixture (sprayed on the floor and mopped with floor velor). After several such cleanings I made sure that the floors were completely clean and my feet and socks were no longer dirty. Then I went back to the Black Diamond cleaner and the blackness started showing up again. I do not recommend this product if you want to keep your floors clean. Instead, save yourself a headache, money and time by simply filling a spray bottle half full of water and half full of white vinegar. Then use as you would a Black Diamond Cleanser. It cleans much more effectively and leaves no traces of dirt.
