Not my favorite cream powder for diapers πŸ˜•

I really love this brand especially their body wash and baby lip balm. Unfortunately, this powder cream diaper cream is not my favorite. I've tried other brands that leave a powderier finish like Burt's Bees & Pipette. This one is fragrance-free, but still has a light "natural" scent (fortunately not oily). The lotion is very, very wet. It's very runny and doesn't turn into a powdery finish that easily. I put a small swab on the back of my hand and tried rubbing it in to see when it turned into a powder. I have found that the more it mixes with air and dries, the smoother the surface becomes. If I let the whole area dry, only a few spots would get powdery (mostly the outside edges - see photo!). It took a few *long* minutes for a very thin layer to fully dry... I don't usually have time for the diaper cream to dry when I'm changing my baby! When applied to my son's butt, it felt like I was just applying hand cream. Other brands of cream and powder I've tried leave a nice white sheen on his skin that I can see when I take his diaper off. I didn't see anything left behind on the next shift. It seemed to protect well enough that it didn't show any redness, so I think it forms a decent moisture barrier. I think it would be better to use it for short periods of time. If you think your little one will be in a wet diaper for a long time, e.g. B. during or before bed, I would stick with a cream with a higher zinc content. I'm not sure I would order this again, but it's not terrible. It's really expensive and not what I expected. Hope that helps! πŸ™‚
