Update on the original: I want another pair because I have the original for my son. I have sooo many pairs of gloves it's silly but I've found that the gloves don't keep my fingers warm when I'm outside in 15F temperatures all day. I bought these because mittens keep fingers warmer than gloves. You can squeeze your fingers in mittens. They are easy to put on and take off and can be tightened at the wrist. I use a carabiner to keep them together and on a belt loop when not in use. Cons: You can't control the smartphone with your finger, but you can use an inexpensive stylus. I would buy again if needed.
