I've been working for a private security company for quite some time now, I've been using this product for 3 weeks now and it's amazing. At first I was worried about reviews of unreliable transmissions. I think it might have something to do with the position of the PTT mic, mine is collar mounted and sounds clear and works in wind and rain as I tested. My microphone is about 2-3 inches from my mouth when I speak into it. In terms of durability I'm cautious with this device given the price, it's understandable that failures can happen if you're not careful with the cables. However, once you have everything in place, everything is solid and seems to be holding up. The button on the microphone is comfortably pressed. On day one the speaker was uncomfortable and needed some trimming, but that's to be expected, the sound quality was clear. After a few weeks of use I can't tell if it's in my ear. I prefer to use a pink earphone rather than an earplug so I can hear any background noise and increases officer safety. A PTT mic is also safer than your standard hands-free mic as there is nothing for people to hold on to and choke on. du s. It's also lightweight and stays stable when you need to run.
