These are excellent hand sewing needles. All of the experienced quilters I've spoken to say they're the best. To be honest I haven't used any other cheaper needles to compare. But I will say that I have never broken one of these needles. And they look pretty sharp when sewing trimmings onto or through layers of fabric ironed with mesh.
