This is ours first convertible seat after using the Graco child seat for the first 1.5 years. I was looking for a breathable material because my child is always hot and sweaty. I liked that this seat had that option and it seems so snug that it *might* work. The main reason we chose this is because the band tightens so gently and effortlessly. We tried it in store and were amazed at how much easier it was. Bought it 3 months ago and I love it. The Graco car seat was awkward to adjust and I felt like I had to pull really hard to adjust it properly for my child's safety, but it is so smooth and easy to put on. This alone reduces stress when leaving the house. My second favorite feature is the clicktight mechanism. I've heard how difficult and annoying it is to move convertible chairs between cars, but I'm not even joking that it takes two minutes. I was surprised that he recommends a seat belt and not a latch. It's MUCH faster and easier. There's no need to stand on the seat and pull the strap to tighten it (you all know you did!) or wring your hands to disengage the latch hooks buried in the abyss of your seat. You simply pull the seat belt and close the seat to plug it in. I don't know how it works, but every time it's stuck and doesn't move. I've been following sales for a long time (they're rarely, if ever, discounted) and finally bit the bullet on Cyber Monday. I paid about $220. I regret nothing!
