The screws holding the hook to the belt are so small that they go through the belt and ensure the hook falls off instantly. This will render the belt unusable. You can fix this by putting a couple tiny washers on the belt tear and threading the bolts through those first. But finding such small washers is a hassle, it's just not worth it.
