The battle for the best fast (fast) wireless charger. I need to charge them all

Wow I've looked into countless wireless chargers but other than being physics defying it REALLY does everything I want and expect. PACKAGING: Let's start with the packaging. As usual, Anker delivers a similar quality as the company named after the fruit. All neatly wrapped in protective film and packaged like a 30 year old jigsaw puzzle. There was no annoying sticky glue or durable plastic in sight, and most of the excess could be thrown away for paper recycling. WHAT'S INSIDE: I have some other Random Company batteries, chargers, etc., and there are usually lots of cheap cables and a very cheap charger bundled with the 'core product'. In this case, Anker includes a 1m Powerline cable that is part of its Premium line. It's not your standard small AWG wire, and rightly so as it needs to power the charger with 12 volts. The package includes a Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 1-port charger, a proprietary PowerPort+ 1 series charger. It outputs 5V/9V/12V with different amps as shown in my screenshot. This allows you to quickly charge any Android phone on the market using the Qualcomm Quick Charge protocol. The third item in the box is the actual fast charger, which I'll cover next. WIRELESS CHARGER. A word of warning, if you ever use another power bank with this wireless charger, it ONLY accepts 12V input. It is NOT backwards compatible for slow charging with 5V input and does not fast charge with 9V input. You can only input 12V and output normal wireless charging or fast wireless charging depending on the phone (with 12V input). When 12V is input, it outputs 5V and 12V again. Only the 12V input works. When the input voltage is less than 12V, the LED on the charging station will flash slightly to indicate the incompatibility. You will not hurt anything with ANY configuration. The worst thing that can happen with an incompatible power adapter is that your phone just won't charge. WIRELESS CHARGING SPEED AND HEAT: Efficiency is the BIGGEST drawback (physical limitation?) of wireless charging. At 50-60% efficiency, all of the extra energy should be released in the form of heat. This is the main reason this charger has a fan (more on that later). Running the game at full brightness on my S8+, starting at 60% and ending at 70%. The phone adjusts the charging speed depending on the heat and has reduced the power of the charger to 3.5W. The phone when switched on and in the game does not charge or discharge. Currently, the ZERO fast charger on the market charges the phone while the phone is on and active and the processor is working hard. If you need to use fast charging for a LONG period of time, you need to turn off the screen and leave the phone idle. My PERSONAL opinion is that wireless charging should really only be used at night while sleeping. Heat damages batteries, and temperatures approach 96 degrees Fahrenheit during fast charging with the phone on. This is NOT dangerous, but may drain the battery a little faster than usual. When my phone was only set to "normal" wireless charging, the charger put out 6.6 watts, when I switched to "fast" wireless charging, the output went up to 8.3 watts. A modest climb, but don't expect miracles. Overall, this charger outperforms the charging capability of OEM chargers and stays much cooler for faster charging speeds. This is literally the best performance of any wireless charger I've seen. If you want the MAXIMUM charging speed possible for your phone, you must use a WIRED fast charging connection. FAN: A small fan with a squirrel cage (that's his real name :) ) exists in the base. If you don't keep your ear 7-9 cm from the base, it's completely silent. You'll notice a slit at the top of the charger that serves as an air intake. What I like about this design is that they took the heating of the phone into account. Not only the charging circuit heats up, but also the phone. By placing the inlet at the top and the outlet at the bottom at the back, this stand effectively cools the entire device AND the charging circuitry. Even in the worst case, the phone never overheated. If you are looking for a vertical wireless charger, this is literally the one for you. The quality is amazing, the performance is amazing, the thermal management is amazing. Wireless charging is yet to come, but this charger is at the forefront of performance for today's technology. 7/7 with fig. PS While the S8+ was standing on the stand, the fingerprint sensor was fully accessible and not blocked.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Price that beats the piggy bank
