This lamp works great! I got it as a present for my aunt. She uses Sally Hansen's gel nail polish but has never used it with a lamp. Nail polish dries well without a lamp but I think it lasts longer if you use it with a lamp. The lamp is equipped with motion sensors, so you don't have to turn it on every time you pick it up. It turns on automatically, all you have to do is set the timer for how long you want it to stay on. Overall, this product was a great purchase!
