I've bought pool and beach towels from Costco for the past few years, but decided to give them a try. Can't beat the price. They're not as big or heavy as Costco towels, but that's not necessarily a bad thing in this case. I wanted these for my young grandchildren and I think this size and weight of bath towel would be easier for them to manage. Also, I expect them to dry faster than heavy towels. Given some of the negative reviews mentioning washing issues I was suspicious of washing them but it had to be done. pff! Yes, they shed, but every towel I've ever bought does for the first two washes. What about running colors? Not at all. They came out as bright and cheerful as they came in. Even my husband, who isn't usually into this sort of thing, commented how much he likes these towels. I'll update this review if they fall apart prematurely, but honestly I think they'll be fine. Definitely recommended.
