I followed the size chart, but still found this swim skirt too big and uncomfortable. Basically, if you're shorter, say 5ft 7in, you're probably uncomfortable. I'm 5'4", so while I'm not tall, I'm definitely not the shortest. However, I had to adjust the length (with the drawstrings) which is nice if you only need a little, but it was so long and wide that I had to adjust the drawstrings a lot. Because of this the ties were very long on the sides which just looked silly (the ties were about knee-deep). I suppose I could alter the ties by cutting and sewing, but I don't feel like I should have done that for the swimsuit. I think if you are thicker than average and/or at least 5ft 7" tall this might fit you much better. Otherwise either order one Size down or keep looking for another swimsuit bottom.
