This dress is very comfortable without sacrificing style. Gathering at the back of the bodice makes it very soft and stretchy, allowing the bodice to follow and flatter without being tight. The ruching of the bodice hits just above the natural waist (unless you have a very short torso), allowing the skirt to drape slightly over the stomach and hips. This hides anything you want to hide while still creating a VERY feminine silhouette. The fabric is wonderfully soft, thick and yet light. Rayon has such a beautiful curtain! The disadvantage of viscose is that it can be very brittle when wet, so be careful when washing. I am purple in color and the color is very deep and rich. ankle deep for me. The bottom 6" or so are 2 tiered layers of fabric of the same color but with different decorative weaves, these layers are a bit see through but low enough that you don't have to worry about anything scandalous. I usually wear a size 8 which is normal one size fits me well and I could see that it easily fits a size 4 to 16 or 18. The top doesn't offer much bust support but hides a medium bra.are about 1/2 inch wide and are very adjustable.The "hardware " There is cheap plastic on the straps which is a shame as the rest of the dress is so pretty!
