This is my first mechanical keyboard that I bought for office use. other background noise occurs. Sometimes they have that slight "ping" noise that other reviews have noted, but in order to generate it I have to apply LOTS of force to the keys and my surroundings have to be absolutely still. So. this is not a problem at all :) The keyboard itself is very solid and very heavy. It doesn't slide around my desk like my crappy old Dell keyboard, which is great. The absence of a number pad is also pleasing, leaving much more space for mouse use. I should point out that the blue-turquoise lighting effects aren't very bright and there are other similarly priced mechanical keyboards that offer RGB, but neither bothers me. The keyboard remembers your backlight preferences when it's unplugged or restarted, so that's a plus! - UPDATE 11/29/2018 - Updated to full 5 stars. I use it almost every day at work, it's very convenient and works great. โ UPDATE 01/12/2020 โ I would give it 6 stars. Everything still works great. I disassembled and cleaned the keyboard. still looks brand new.-UPDATE 5/2/2021-Still used for work and still works great. Sometimes the key gets stuck, but I'm 90% sure it's because the junk is collecting under the keys again.
