So I didn't expect to get a fan. When I opened the box, all I could smell was cigarette smoke. I put a fan in the room and turned it on and the smell stayed! It fills the room. I hope it wears off in a day or two but this is just awful. Another odd performance is that the fan starts up at the lowest setting, which I don't think you should do as there might not be enough current to run the fan. the blades are moving. Rarely and unlikely, fans always start at maximum power for some reason. If the smell is still there after airing it out for a few days, it will likely return.
