GREAT BOLO - QUALITY IS VALUE FOR THE PRICE

I got this Native American style bolo tie for my husband at 18 (go to a hospital where shirts and ties are required.) We have Received the tie within 2 days (yes, 2 day Prime membership shipping!) and my husband loved it. In fact, it became one of his favorite bolos. One quality of the tie that he particularly likes is that the decorative pendant is large, of good weight, and has just enough color and detail to make it attractive and not flashy. Another feature he likes is that the back of the pendant has a clip instead of just a slider (see pic #4 below). Once the pendant is where he wants it, he closes the clip and the pendant stays in place. During the day he does not have to change his position, no matter how active he is. Very nice feature! I would like to point out some negative statements about this tie by other reviewers. Of course, my comments are based exclusively on my own view and evaluation of the tie: 1.) The center stone of the pendant is not real turquoise. Of course, the stone is not real turquoise; it's 12 dollars Bolo tie... the price alone says the stone won't be real. Also, this tie is never advertised as real turquoise. Anyone who looks closely at the promotional image of the blue stone in the center of the pendant can clearly see that the stone is fake (examine the image in the advertisement as well as my own below - image #3). "brutal" and "cheap". The tie we received looks exactly as advertised (see pic #1 below). Even though the ad says the pendant measures 2 3/8" x 2 7/8", it is actually noticeably smaller than advertised. I measured the pendant myself; it is approximately 1 5/8" wide x 2" long. Both my husband and I find the bolo pendant to be a very good size. The product also meets the expected quality for the price paid. Again, this looks exactly like the image in the advert, which incidentally has a zoom feature that clearly shows the suspension details up close. So I don't understand how a person who looked at a pendant on the internet, read the dimensions of the pendant (which were larger than it really is) and then decided to order a tie would be disappointed upon receipt - and that said it looked cheap, flashy or awful. The only details not shown in the image in the advert are the back of the pendant (see image #4 below) and the side profile of the decorative piece along the edge of the pendant (see image #3). ). In my opinion, the side view of the detail along the border somewhat spoils the beautiful look of the pendant; I think it would look better if the details were more refined; maybe even slightly slanted instead of elevated. Just my opinion. 3.) Claims for the bolo cord which is leather and is approximately 40 inches long (as advertised) including decorative metal ends - see pics #5 and #6 below. Some reviewers noted that the cable had a musty and foul odor. That's true, although I wouldn't say it's unbearable or even so strong that other people (who don't wear a tie) would notice. Demonstration - I can't smell cable at 2 feet... smell at 1 1/2 feet... I can't smell at 1 foot. At around 6 inches I start to smell a little if I sniff really hard (and that's on a warm day in a small apartment when the fan is blowing). Even with my nose pressed right against the bolo cord, I can't tell if the smell is awful or unbearable - like some other reviewers say. Although the smell is a bit stronger than other leather braided bolos my husband has, it has a strong leathery smell and isn't offensive to me (but honestly, I don't find inventory smells objectionable either...probably because it suggests horses are nearby.) 4.) One reviewer stated that the decorative lace fell off his tie shortly after receiving it. It's really a shame and must have been a big disappointment. (I hope the seller has corrected and offered a replacement.) However, the ends of the tie I ordered for my husband appear secure...I just pulled hard to make sure. I consider myself a savvy shopper looking for the best product at the best price) this is an excellent bolo tie for the money - in quality and looks. The clip on the back of the pendant is a great feature that keeps the pendant in place all day without the need for readjustment. Finally yes - I would recommend this bolo tie. I would also advise those considering purchasing this tie to use the zoom feature to get a closer look at the details of the pendant, be aware that the center stone of the pendant is not real turquoise and be aware that that the size of the pendant is significantly smaller than stated; Although smaller than advertised, it's still quite large...larger than many pendants on other bolos. . He says that almost every time he wears it (which is around 2-4 times a week) someone speaks positively about him. It wears very well as does the clasp that keeps it in place. A NOTICE. I paid full price for this bolo tie which was $12.12 at the time of purchase. I did NOT receive it for free or at a reduced price in exchange for writing a review. My reviews are mostly detailed, informative, and include multiple product images.
