I am very impressed with the quality and functionality. One star deducted for two small reasons. 1- The clamp that attaches it to the table is bulky. The part you twist to open/close the clip is a long piece of metal. Not only does it not have to be that long, it also must not have a gap in hard-to-reach places. For example, I use it on my music stand to turn on the light behind my computer monitor. My synth is under the table and this long piece of metal is sticking out, almost scratching it. 2- A separate adjustable connection between the gooseneck and the light would be very desirable. The gooseneck is VERY stiff (which is great as it holds up well). However, to adjust it to specific positions, you have to turn part of the lamp, which is very difficult. I like the dimming range. The minimal setting suits me. Many other similar lamps don't go as low.
