Very good overall quality!

I hesitated with this purchase because at first it seemed like an expensive purchase without seeing it. So happy I pulled the trigger. I read many good quality reviews and they were all correct. The base is very heavy and so stable on the table, which is important as my table is liftable and moves up and down when sitting or standing. The lamp is quite high and adapts to every possible position. But the best thing, in my opinion, is the ability to change the temperature (color) of the light. I usually prefer warmer light tones and this is controlled via the watch face. If you hold down the ring that turns it on, it automatically switches to "reading" mode, which delivers smooth, bright tone with no glare. A quick spin of the dial returns to cold or warm mode, or a combination of both. I got it pretty high as you can see in the photos. It doesn't glare like its predecessor and is easy to adjust so it doesn't shine directly in your eyes (I also had an issue with the previous lamp). I mean look at that braided cord! Nice! I really can't say enough good things about it and I couldn't be happier. Very easy to assemble just slide the lamp onto the base and tighten the Phillips head screw as shown. The only negative if you can even call it that is that they don't have other color options. For example, how cool would it be to be able to choose lamp color, socket color and cable color? Only other negative, I wish I'd pulled the trigger sooner. I left this in "Save for Later" for several months. :D
