Review on πŸ”Œ Echogear Off-White Cable Concealer: Wall Mounted TV Cord Management Kit with Pass Through Grommets, Locking Brackets, and Drill Attachment by Timothy Barnes

Disgusting quality, bad design - a useless saw, I'm back.

I bought two of these to run network cables from the room where the router is to another room. The supplied saw is of very poor quality. When I cut a hole on one side of the first wall, the saw teeth were completely worn out. I thought maybe it was defective so I opened up the second block and used this saw to finish the hole. When I cut the hole on the other side of the hole, the second saw had lost all its teeth as well. You can see what's left in the attached photos. Since I already cut a damn hole in a wall I had to use one of the pass blocks or else I would have returned both blocks. Because I can only return one device. The passage isn't that good either. First, the hole is too big and the flange around the edge isn't wide enough. They should have made a smaller hole or a wider flange. It doesn't close the hole well enough. Another problem is the design of the locking "wings". The wings are not deep enough to be used with a standard drywall. I ended up using sealant to hold the covers in place. Gave a star because there is no way to give zero or negative stars.

Pros
  • Hide your cables behind the wall with this do-it-yourself cable management kit. Just add a drill and you have everything you need for a quick installation in 20 minutes. You only have to skip 1 episode of The Office.
Cons
  • I don't remember
