I bought these shoes for my 1 year old. She learned to walk in these shoes. In terms of functionality, these shoes are great. They come on and come off easily. They cover the toes and protect the feet. Velcro is effective and doesn't cause us any problems. I think they are very cute and they go with almost all of my daughter's everyday outfits. We have sandals that are a bit tight when she's wearing dresses, but these are by far our favorite shoes. My only minor complaint is that she can take these shoes off herself.
