This product works as advertised. Seems well done. The device itself runs and heats up, so I was a bit concerned about that. Still, after about an hour of work, there didn't seem to be any overheating. I haven't used it longer than this period of time, so I don't know about the long-term performance. Three stars for picture quality because the transition from high definition to S-Video or standard RCA audio/video is obvious. You lose the high resolution, but it's sharp and viewable. The most noticeable thing for me was the loss of color saturation.
