Much larger than expected

Maybe I misunderstood the diameter or it was in meters, but they are too big to fit a long chain to shorten to wear double. This is their obvious use, so the size doesn't make sense. I have to use them elsewhere due to the shipping costs, which always lead me to suspect they're meant to prevent returns.

Very lightweight, they are hollow. Some were stuck closed and would not open.
