I'm always looking for a healthy alternative to toothpaste for my family. Fluorine is just not an option. Period. A few years ago I came across this Spanish toothpaste that had a combination of fluoride and nanohydroxyapatite. Not knowing what the second ingredient was, I started researching. Well, it turns out it's the only anti-cavity solution that's been used in Japan for over 60 years. They just don't use fluoride for the most part. So this particular compound is a natural source of calcium that I believe strengthens tooth enamel and even repairs damage to teeth. Rather than just killing off all the bacteria in your mouth (the good, the bad, the ugly and the beautiful!), many of which are needed, it strengthens tooth enamel by remineralizing teeth. I stumbled on this. Made in the USA and reinforced with charcoal. My biggest concern has been the safety of children's teeth as their teeth cannot tolerate as much HA as adults. It was safe and kid-approved (which is a blessing because the last thing I want is kids hating the taste and complaining about it). My kids loved it! One of them had gum problems and that helped. They use it daily and their teeth look whiter and their mouth is cleaner and healthier. Husband started using it and he loves it. The only complaint is that the paste seems to liquify too quickly in the mouth so you can't be sure how it covered every single tooth. I am sure that everything is fine because after a few months of use, every mouth is very healthy. I will continue to buy, I recommend to everyone. I know it's a little pricey, but not much more expensive than any other premium toothpaste. Also, I found it at a reduced price last time. Like it a lot!
