Looks like leather. Easy to wipe. Lots of space and way better than a wallet. I sometimes use the handle and sometimes the shoulder straps when I want my hands free. It goes with any outfit and is suitable for both business and casual. I have a light beige with camel straps. Women have asked me if I found this backpack. Tired of lack of space and changing wallets but didn't want to look like "travelling". That's great. for your information.
