Do not buy for allergy protection! I opened the packaging and was shocked to see visible holes (about the size of a needle) all over the body. For a microfiber cover to be effective against allergies, the micron size must be around 2 microns, the size of this cover cannot be less than 2 microns! I work with filters of different sizes and it seems to me that this is around 100 microns. Not only dust mites, but also mold, pet dander, bacteria and bed bug nymphs can easily slip through the holes in this case. You can see my hand through the case if this microfiber case really has the ability to block dust mites. then my hand would not be visible. There is no extra plastic barrier inside that most allergy cases have. I gave it two stars because it can prevent bed bugs from getting in and out. I am grateful that I can at least return it with return shipping.
