Unfortunately the face doesn't cool. A pleasant breeze blows around your face, but there is no direct cooling. I have this fan that looks sexier than my original, but I prefer a different neck fan with actual mini fans on the end that can be bent to point anywhere. One catches my beard, the other doesn't. So what are the pros and cons in my opinion. Advantages: lighter, prettier, longer battery life, quieter operation, does not snag hair. Cons: Can't adjust position and doesn't blow as much wind. I prefer a different fan but use this one every now and then when it's not that hot outside or when I'm in public.
