They swell when wet
These lids are untreated wood and when I stored the mouse ingredients inside, they swelled so much I couldn't remove the lids! I decided to put a thin piece of wax paper between the food and the lid. I liked the idea of natural wood lids and I'm not sure what a food safe solution to upgrade them would be.
